1. Purpose

These Terms and Conditions govern the contracting of Spanish language classes and linguistic services offered by Sobremesa de Español, including individual classes, class packages, promotions, and cultural workshops.


2. Services Offered

Sobremesa de Español offers:

  • Online Spanish classes, generally 60 minutes in duration.
  • Digital teaching materials, designed for exclusive use in the contracted sessions.
  • Special promotions, including the first free class (subject to availability and with no obligation to contract).
  • Thematic workshops on Spanish culture (gastronomy, colloquial expressions, music, etc.).

3. Prices and Payment Methods

  • Prices: All prices are expressed in euros and, where applicable, include VAT.
  • Single classes: Payment must be made before the start of the session, unless otherwise expressly agreed with the owner.
  • Class packages: Payment will be made in advance when contracting the package. Once the package sessions are exhausted, the student may renew under the same conditions.
  • First free class: No prior payment is required. If the student decides to continue, the payment conditions will apply according to the contracted service.

  • Refunds and Cancellations:
    • No refunds will be issued for payments made for classes or class packages once the service has started, except in the following cases:
      • Cancellation of the service by Sobremesa de Español (a full refund will be issued within a maximum of 7 days).
      • Duly justified force majeure (e.g., serious illness with medical certification).
    • Missed Individual Classes: No refund will be issued if the student does not attend without prior notice or cancels outside the established deadlines (see the Cancellations and Rescheduling section).
    • Class Packages: If the student decides to cancel a package before it starts, a 100% refund will be issued. Once the package has started, no partial refunds will be given for unused classes.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • More than 48 hours in advance: Cancellation or rescheduling at no cost.
  • Between 48 and 24 hours in advance: 50% of the fee will be charged.
  • Less than 24 hours or no-show: 100% of the fee will be charged, except in cases of duly justified force majeure.
  • If the student is late, the session will end at the originally scheduled time.

5. Materials and Intellectual Property

The materials and resources provided are for the exclusive use of the student receiving them and may not be redistributed, reproduced, or shared with third parties without prior written authorization. Recording classes without the prior written consent of the owner is not permitted. All materials are the intellectual property of Sobremesa de Español.


6. Privacy and Data Protection

Sobremesa de Español processes personal data solely for the purpose of service management (bookings, billing, and communication), in accordance with the Privacy Policy. The student accepts the processing of their data when contracting the services. Third-party tools used include Google Meet, Zoom, WhatsApp, Calendly, and PayPal.


7. Limitation of Liability

Sobremesa de Español is not liable for:

  • Service interruptions due to external technical failures (Internet, videoconferencing platforms, force majeure).
  • The quality of the student’s internet connection. In the event of serious incidents, an attempt will be made to reschedule the session.

8. Modification of the Terms and Conditions

Sobremesa de Español reserves the right to update these Terms. Any modifications will be notified to students by email before they come into effect and will not affect services already contracted, unless necessary due to legal changes.


9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Spanish and European law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent courts and tribunals of the consumer’s domicile or, failing that, the owner’s domicile.


10. Acceptance

By contracting the services, the student declares that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.


Additional Notes:

  • Force majeure: Force majeure is considered any circumstance beyond the control of Sobremesa de Español that prevents the provision of the service, such as serious illnesses, family emergencies, or widespread technical failures.
  • Bizum: Bizum is a mobile payment system widely used in Spain. If you are not familiar with it, please use PayPal or bank transfer.
